Running along the shores, Papa’s yellow kite swirls and soars He spins a tale, as the white gulls sail Splashing all through the waves, exploring the pirate caves My bucket in hand, fetching pearls from the sand Red scarf in my hair, came loose in the wild ocean air Beneath the sunshine, paradise was mine That summer by the sea I long to return to that summer by the sea When life was a dance for papa and me When he was near, autumn shadows disappeared All the years he’s been gone, I still hear his song Down we rode to the fair, a fiddler’s tune to share He spins a tale, as the white boats sail Later that silver night, performing in bright moonlight Life is enchanted, all wishes granted Violin tucked beneath his chin, the fairy tale begins The bow in his stride, plays the music he writes That summer by the sea I long to return to that summer by the sea When life was a dance for papa and me When he was near, autumn shadows disappeared All the years he’s been gone, I still hear his song The crowd begins to cheer, they come to the fair to hear a gypsy melody, to set their hearts free He tucks me in at night, a story by firelight The old wicker chair, sea breeze in his hair Kissing me on the cheek, he sings me fast asleep, A lullaby, ‘neath the milky-way sky That summer by the sea It was snowing, the wind it was blowing That winter day, when the they carried him away Come to me again, my angel, my friend Papa ease my fears, take away my tears Oh, take me back...take me back...take me back to that summer by the sea

An angel sent from heaven Came to a garden fair Searching for a flower To wreath her golden hair A lily grew in splendor Radiant and white Dazzling in the sun Shimmering of light Then a single blood red rose Caught the angel’s eye Dark and mysterious She could not pass it by Crimson petals beckoned Beautiful and rare The angel chose the red rose To wreath her golden hair But when she plucked the blossom Was pierced by savage thorn Blood flowed from the flower The angel’s heart was torn The garden is bursting with color Blossoms of every hue A rose of the heart or a lily of light Which will the angel choose Roses like souls need tending Lest they shrivel and fade on the vine Neglect a red rose, crimson petals rain down The flower will wither in time An angel sent from heaven Came to a garden fair Searching for a flower To wreath her golden hair She cast it to the ground And then she did dispose Choosing the pale lily Instead of the bleeding rose

Mercury, against a sheath of black Mocks the image the silver echoes back Half darkness, half light… in the mirror Glass shatters, and my soul splits apart No music or lyric in the heart Half human, half gargoyle…in the mirror An instrument of cruelty The mirror’s bitter truth Reflecting all that I am not Projecting dying hope, fading youth But then I saw her...I loved her...in the mirror Innocence, and a soul purely born A fragile girl, forsaken and forlorn Half child, half woman...in the mirror I need her, and I will not be denied My passion, I can no longer hide Half siren, half angel...in the mirror An instrument of cruelty The mirror’s bitter truth Reflecting all that I am not Projecting dying hope, fading youth But then I saw her....I loved her in the mirror The flame is kindled, at last our souls unite Sparks of glory melt winter blight Our music soars, the light is in her song A distant dream where phantoms don’t belong Her touch, her tears Half love, half fear Her sigh, her kiss Half pain, half bliss Do I hope, may I dream, should I dare believe Does the mirror speak the truth, or does the glass deceive Could she be mine, my love my bride Or will she turn away, and cast the fool aside Will she love this broken-hearted angel, will I finally be free from the beast looking back at me....in the mirror

Hold me in your arms, your spirit shivers on my skin Caught up in the undertow, I am swept away again The music, the heart crush, too much but never enough Rising on the passion tide, I can’t stop craving you Your love is firelight Changing and turning me Blinding and burning me Firelight through diamonds Look into my eyes, and we are both the sand and sea Drifting on your body waves, you’re washing into me The beauty, the skin flush-crashing into the soul rush Drowning in your ocean eyes, I can’t stop craving you I fall and I fly I live and I die In the heat of your kiss In the pain and the bliss We dance and we melt In the love that we’ve felt In the calm and the storm In the soft and the warm Your love is firelight Changing and turning me Blinding and burning me Firelight through diamonds I can’t stop craving you

When I close my eyes, your face is all I see Your voice and spirit, ever haunting me Through the mists of time, and in the mirror’s glow You are all I love, you are all I know Sing to me again the angel’s song Fold me in the wings of your embrace Hold me close until the stars have gone Then will I behold your beautiful face When I lift my eyes your shape suddenly appears Your touch on my skin, still lingers through the years Sorrows roll away, like the ocean from the shore My heart entwined with yours Our love forevermore Sing to me again the angel’s song Fold me in the wings of your embrace Hold me close until the stars have gone Then will I behold your beautiful face When I kneel to pray it is your soul I crave Red roses bloom, in the shadow of your grave Through the shining gates, of heaven you draw near I hear you call my name, your angel’s song I hear Come to me my love let’s fly away Come, the winter days grow long Come to me and sing your angel’s song

Worlds Apart 04:36
Christine: You fell from heaven with your wings of black No one could fasten the dark feathers back Broken on the sidewalk, forgotten and alone Angel without a friend or a home Erik: You were a doll in a window display Porcelain beauty, won’t come out to play Like a perfect delicate flower Hidden away in your ivory tower Together: Worlds apart, standing on the great divide Desperately we reach out to the other side To know another soul-to cast all fear aside To be loved-just to be loved. Christine: You broke the window, smashed the glass around me I never looked back since the moment you found me, You made me see myself in a different way I’m not breakable like yesterday Erik: You sewed my wounds, bound up my broken wings Helped me face the darkness I couldn’t see With you, I know, I’m never alone You are my refuge, and my home Bridge: Erik: With you there’s no need to hide my scars Christine: To me you’re perfect as you are Erik: With me all your secrets are safe Christine: With you I don’t have to be afraid Erik: And I don’t need black feathers to soar Christine: And I don’t need to hide anymore Erik: You gave me wings, set my soul to flight Christine: You healed my heart with your song in the night Worlds apart, standing on the great divide Desperately we reach out to the other side To know another soul-to cast all fear aside To be loved-just to be loved. Erik: I’m loved Christine: I am loved Together: I am loved by you!
